Fans are being really hasty when it comes to these conclusions. At the very least, Charizard will appear since he's in the poster and is one of the pokemon Ash remembered in the manga. In all honesty, Ash winning a battle tournment with Mr.Mime is a sign of good things to come. At this point in previous series, Ash would job to the first gym leader. Winning a tournament with a pokemon he's never used competitively would mean that the opponents who'll force him to use Charizard or Sceptile will be some serious threats.
