Same person from the PP group also shows one of the memory cards in a hex editor (only a clipped portion of course) and goes into details about what it all means 8:35 in the video. But a note about the hex editor is that it's "salvaged" where he admits to filling in the blanks on the salvaged info in order to make the events work. At 12:50 in the video HFG explains the lock-out for the GSC events that stop people from getting endless Pokemon. Starting at 18:30 in the video is an explanation of the device that interfaces the player's carts to the machine.
Having those code snippets, in tandemaus with the event save files could lead to further developments of this.
