AG - Really put emphasis on a companion for the first time, May feels important as Ash and she's not just a supporting xcharacter
DP - Dawn, also the culmination of Ash's growth from OS and AG in the Sinnoh League before the soft reboot in BW? awesome
BW - It feels like this is where they really stepped up the animation
XY - I really like Alain and the build up to the TF arc, that arc ended up being incredible and super worth it, bringing back Ash's competence is fantastic as well
SM - I adore the family themes and the slice of life is absolutely something I'm absolutely down for, super comfy and fun
JN - It feels very different to every other series to me but still honours them
