>48 mega evolutionsI think Mega Evolutions are an okay concept, but terrible in execution. 9/10 Mega Evolutions look straight up Ambipom-tier, if not worse. Not to mention most of the Pokemon that got Megas didn't need it, or outright needed an evolution, like Houndoom.
I like megas more than Dynamax/Gigantamax, but only insofar as I like terminal ass cancer more than I like drowning to death in an ISIS execution video.
>18 regional formsIf only they weren't so hideous. Alolan Sandslash is okay, Marowak is cool, but good lord the rest of them are bad. Muk would've been passable if not for the ugly rocks.
>728 movesThis is a good thing, yes. Z-moves were an awful gimmick, but still leagues better than Megas or Dynamax.
Overall, I'd say the Gen 7 games are the best of the 3D games at a solid 4/10, with OR/AS being a respectable 4.5/10. Still wouldn't play any of the Gen 6/7/8 games over even awful Gen 1.
