Moving onward enemy team comps are starting to get noticeably tougher. The Team Rocket grunt in Cerulean who robs the house actually gave me trouble with his Gurdurr, and there were several trainers on the route to Vermilion that were strangely strong.
A fight with Brendan is added east of Vermilion, which took me by surprise. He had damn good coverage too - a Loudred packing Ice Punch and a Grovyle packing Aerial Ace were particularly brutal. Bradley managed to lower Grovyle's speed with a Bulldoze, taking a Leaf Blade in the process, before Bronn could come in and stomach enough Aerial Aces with Synthesis to finish it. Sadly, his Lunatone came out next and procced a lucky confusion on Bronn and without anything to really switch to (Cain was too weak from dealing with Loudred to bring in safely) I kept Bronn in, he sadly hit himself and died on the followup.
Two things of note are another fucking Snover egg vendor in Vermilion (honestly can't tell if this is a bug at this point) and the daycare, which I'll likely need to use later once enemy teams start bringing out max EV/IV shit.

>>44931183volt white 2 is one of those games with a downwards difficulty curve - burgh and cheren are very tough, but once you get around mid game you'll have enough options where shit gets easier
