Maybe find a new hobby and do something more productive himself. Eventually he'll realize that his time is up. For the grandpa this is usually when they die as they finally come to peace with their life and ready to let whatever happens happens as he trusts God's will for humanity. For the Johtoddler, it means finally leaving the franchise after decades of memories and embrace reality. Get a mortgage, find a wife and start working to become a normal member of society. He is no longer "Greg the Pokemon fan" as all his friends and family knew him. Just Greg the normal, humble man. Maybe he'll visit around to see the occasional hype season or nostalgic Pokemon Go-like fad, but never stay. He has transcended above us.
