It still blows my mind how he survived that Flare Blitz, with his somewhat lack luster physical defenses, but whatever.
I checked with the IV judge and I think he said my Gallade had good IVs in HP, so that might have done it.
I also caught a Brave Natured, Hidden Ability Gallade in the Friend Safari in XY who has max IV in Attack, Defense and Spec. Defense. I was happy, at the least.
