I'm still wholly baffled that they are "leaving"(don't really know yet) Ash he's morn then just the face of the anime, he's a cultural symbol for children's anime in japan someone instantly recognizable although his story looks like its ending, I am still hoping that he will have some part somewhere.
I think that Riko is the daughter of Ash and Dawn I mean the similarity between her and Dawn are striking. if the new anime does poorly I think we could see Ash return, however, I hope it's not a full reboot if he does it would be very difficult to pull off and I don't think people would like it.
