I just got through the sentry duty minigame in Sky/Orion. I still think the idea of looking at Pokemon's feet before letting them in is really dumb. But I guess the devs just added it for the sake of having a minigame.
Are we planning to have a footprint check in front of our own guildhall? I think it appeared in one story, but I can't quite remember.
