Elesa went bad. Elesa went very bad. It probably is the easiest gym ever if you have a ground type but I didn't so those speedy little Emolgas just massacred me with none stop Volt Switches until Inuarashi was able to pick them off. Without his Crunch I'm sure I would have been swept.
Coming off the bench is Carrot who is the cutiest thing ever and yet does not have cute charm. The technician ability seems interesting. Maybe Swift is viable for once? So I started training her on route 16 and then I found a path into the Lostlorn Forest where I got Leo. This makes me wonder if there are other encounters I have missed because I did not see a path. But probably will not backtrack for now. Next gym leader level cap is 31 so I think I will grind the team up to about 28,29 each before I head west cause it sounds like the next gym is just right over the bridge. Need to find a sixth team member too.
>>43781546Welcome to the journey. Losing Maroon is rough, it can practically solo the region. But lots of Kanto pokemon can. If I could make just one suggestion though, don't use the Gyarados till post-physical/special split. The later gens get much harder and It can be a god send.
