I think I might have to convince myself to be done with this game for awhile. Had a terrible day of soloQ matchmaking that felt like the game wanted me to quit. Played 10 games, and lost 8 of them. Most of these had one player costing us the game.
One game, Deci was ripping Fug while enemy team was all up. I tried to fight the enemy team as Lapras, but naturally, my DPS isn't that high and all I could do was stall for the enemy Chandelure to obviously make a steal from the other side of the pit.
Next game, our potion Charizard Ulted at the 2:20 mark so he could backcap 15 points and then died for the midfight. So we were doing a 4v5 from the get-go.
Next game. I actually sniped Ray as Garde even though we wiped. Two of my teammates respawned just in time so we had enough people to get a lead in. I capped, my other guy capped. All the last guy had to do was cap, and instead, he farmed for more and more points until the entire enemy team respawned and his shield was broken instantly when he tried to cap.
Next game. Glaceon ripped Fug, repeating the exact same Deci situation.
Then I won a game.
Then I queued up into the SAME GUY with the Potion Charizard, but this time, he was playing lane Zera. He did nothing but dive into 3v1s and backcap all game.
Games of this similar nature is all I experienced for close to two hours. The whole, "The only consistent factor is YOU!!" doesn't ring true, because there is another consistent factor in that I keep getting one atrocious teammate who doesn't know how to play the game. I try to fill roles as Defender, but I keep running into coinflipping Decis, Glaceons, and Cinderaces who make it really fucking hard to win the Ray fight. I try to jungle and even if I do really well, that one guy backcapping makes the Ray fight so much harder..
Maybe I just had a really bad matchmaking day. I did start playing around primetime, 8PM EST. But fuck, SoloQ isn't doable anymore. I need to play with stacks to have fun.
