>>45512149>It goes from a baby to a little centaur. Where the hell are you getting “rugged” and “sturdy”?Sorry for not clarifying. But I was mainly talking about the final evo in this instance. The body of hourse conflicts with the upper body if th humanoid. It's far to rugged and the tuffs of fur blur the silhouette. It's a very jarring contrast. I know it's supposed to be center and that's what they are all about but this is supposed to be Pokemon. So I think most people would appreciate some consistency in shapes. For a good official example look at Primarina. Its partially based on a mermaid and like centaurs mermaids have contrasting body segments. But te designers were able to mix the anatomy with a sea lion by sticking with the general smooth shapes both have.
The Centaur doesn't to this. I would smooth down the tufts of fur and make it's body less bulk and more lean. It would also stay true the shapes your average horse has. Horses, outside of a few breeds, don't have fur tufts. Just so the body flows more naturally.
>And you said it had too much going on.I never said that.
>You’re specifically ignoring aquatic design elements though. It has a shark tail and fins for wingsHaving aquatic elements does not a Water type make. Look at Eelektross, Garchomp, Stunfisk, etc. Again like the centaur tge main problem is it's silhouette. What's the first you notice about the design? The wings. Wings denote Flying type flying type not Water type.
