When managing bag space keep in mind you won't ever need 200 golden razz, 70 revives, 200 max potions etc. Set yourself realistic limits of how many items of each type you keep around so you won't have to keep expanding forever. You'll be fine with just 1-2 dragon scales or slowking evo items.
Don't ever buy lucky eggs, incenses, lures, incubators, balls, potions, revives, berries. If you're missing free consumables, add more friends to exchange gifts.
