I'm not all that into her hairstyle and clothes, but I like her hat more than Kris's. I guess I just like white hats; Dawn's and Serena's white cycling cap custom look nice too.
It's a bit of a shame Crystal didn't return as a VC game and Kris pretty much disappeared, but thinking about it, it also makes a lot of sense. Along with the Japanese Goldenrod Pokecenter issue, Kris is also the actual problem. The Gen II games have no trainer gender flag to determine whether the OT was a boy or a girl, whereas everything from III onwards does. So if a Pokemon caught by Kris was transferred up, the game would consider her a boy, just like Ethan.
