Dude had some really depressing ideas though.Like how he said Brock hits on older woman cause he's desperate to get a better mother figure for his siblings, and how he wanted Ash to give up on his dream and "grow up". I think the latter idea could still be a good deconstruction of the character. Have Ash really mull over what a "Pokemon Master" is to him, if he's really been working as hard as he should be, and why he gets BTFO by so many people despite his extensive experience.
