>>46672299Yes and no, he starts of as an antagonist, then becomes a rival for the rest of the series (one who sometimes fucks Yugi over, but also helps him every once in a while) and once we reach the final arc he's revealed to be a subproduct of the eldritch abomination that is the main antagonist.
I would love something like that for Pokemon, you think the bad guy you just bitchslapped stopped being a threat and focus on your autistic arrogant rival (Kaiba) but at the end this was playing doubles all the time, fucks everything up and ascends to main villain role at the very end.
