Pokemon is a kids' adventure series it doesn't need to """""""""""grow up with you""""""""" there are a billion other franchises where you can play as an adult, aimed at kids or otherwise, just go play them. There are waaay more of those than ones where you play as a 10~12 year old. And feel fortunate that if you want to play an RPG where you're a kid on an adventure, Pokemon is still there for you to come back to when you want that again.
