Official sizes were always retarded, but it was fine when they were nothing more than a number in the dex entries.
Anime felt free to fix the retarded sizes because it actually matters when depicting the world as a whole
Now that we have a real scaled 3D game on console, it's really time they retcon the sizes of some pokemon (like Charizard, Gyarados, Nidoking...etc).
