It was an old tradition between me and friends. We would help each other transfer up and fill the Pokedex every time a new game came out. I brought Pokemon from RSE, Orre, and FRLG all the way to XY. There is something rewarding about bringing old Pokemon to new games where there are new mechanics and forms like Megas or other evolutions. Or in the case of ORAS, going back to an old region.
There was no in-game Natdex in SM so I didn't play it much. SwSh killed my interest in going further. But it was a good time while it lasted...
