Quaquaval is fine, and Samurott is cool to look at. Especially in TCG artwork, which is what I've been using ever since Sugimori butchered poor Feraligatr during gen 4.
The only water starter I've ever been bothered by was Primarina. Just unsettled me for some reason. But it's not objectively bad or anything, and watching the ashnime helped me get over it, I guess.
