>>50823031>why don't we make our own thing?Because a lot of us value our anonymity more than some cheap thrills.
Imagine you're making a pokemon knock-off game and you have to workshop a new monster's design with a bunch of shitposters.
Could /vp/ pull it off? Sure, I could see us doing it. But when you have to start vetting who is taking this even remotely seriously, is it really a /vp/ thing then?
Also, if you're looking to make good monster designs, you unironically have to get at least ONE furry involved. God forbid you make a game with unappealing monsters like with TemTem's roster in the early half of the game.
And then you need a competent writer who won't go off on some LGBTQ+ tangent just because. You need them to be apoletically political if you start inserting some sus story like in Gen 5.
Finally you need to come to an agreement on a company/firm where people who are in on it don't get screwed financially, because that shit is a right mess to figure out if you're actually taking shit seriously. Imagine you're contributing a bunch of assets on /vp/ and then your shit gets jacked. Sure, you could sue 'em, but that is a logistical nightmare and serves as a deterrent for a /vp/ collaboration.
I would help with putting this together, but there's just not enough investment on /vp/ to justify a unified front.
