>>19853766Exactly. The anime plays fast and loose with scaling, the only thing that matters to them now as far as the birds are concerned is that they are suitable winged mounts when fully-grown. Talonflame will be no exception, and I'm looking forward to him in all his raptorial glory.
I'm really hoping Talonflame is a good battler and active team member. Too often Ash's birds get sidelined.

Worst bird.Fletchling had plenty of personality at capture, and doesn't seem to have had that stripped away completely yet. Battles have been very impressive but ended in losses, hopefully that changes when it evolves. Being a Fire Pokemon will help, since it will probably get called on much more than the other birds.
