>>51617855Finally ready to go to the E4 now. It was a long journey.
I lost two mons to two different Cyrus fights, at the Galactic HQ and in Distortion World. Losing my Mag was a blow, as I was really hoping to take him to the E4. Never used a Pikachu before. Donny didn't hit as hard - I have used Gastrodon a decent bit in the past and I have far more to work with for replacing him type-wise.
I managed to stay deathless on Volkner, and only had one death in Victory Road. Trusty Disappoint, so named because I had a really good chance of a better encounter with Meditite on 211 and didn't get it. He was with me almost the entire run from that point, and did a damn great job despite being saddled with quite a few HMs. His trusty Submission, and later Cross Chop, was all he needed. Unfortunately I was careless against the trainer with Porygon-Z, not thinking that it could have a Psychic move. And I got maximally punished for it. Rest in peace.
I was originally thinking of bringing him to the move deleter and give him a shiny new moveset, then bring him to E4. Now that is no longer possible, I decided to compose a whole new team instead. Spent the last little while farming money with VS seeker to outfit new additions with vitamins.
I am pretty excited for it. Only mon I've used in E4 before is Tentacruel. I've used Rotom and Gliscor in other runs before, but they've always died during the gym challenge. Never used Bronzong, Medicham or Yanmega at all. In hindsight the Dark Pulse on Rotom was pointless, but it doesn't have a super deep movepool anyway. You may notice I'm not using any offensive set-up moves at all, nor did I farm munchlax trees (or just PKHex) for Leftovers - want to give myself a bit more challenge on top of no healing or X-items.
Really interested in seeing if I can do it - I think I'll fall at Cynthia after losing a mon or two before her.
