>>41665612>is all gameNo, but some Rift Pokemon will be. While Gyms and boss fights have their load of bullshit mostly due to Field Effects, using a move that change the Field tends to break the leader’s legs. Also with decent teambuilding but nothing TOO specific.
For example: the Flying Gym will be a battle in the clouds and his pokemon will have an Elemental Seed that causes the start with Tailwind. Using Smack Down will drag the fight into a mountain where you can start using that shit to your advantage with some crazy players following with Dig to force the battle into a cave where Flying moves get nerfed.
Rift Pokemon however are fought in that weird rift dimension you can’t do that. The game normally does have pokemon or items that counter them available somewhere before the fight, but it’s a much more specific solution than what I mentioned. But here is the thing: most of them are solo battles against a single pokemon. It’s much more manageable.
Rift Gardevoir however is a Double Fight with a bunch of pokemon that puts you to sleep. Her battle is a puzzle by nature.
I recommend you catch as many different pokemon as you can. You’ll never know how a walking sack of garbage can save your life by intoxicating an edgy Gardevoir until you are forced to use it.
Also, though a bit more work, breed a Donphan with Ice Shard and Endeavor when you can. I don’t remember the exact pokemon I used for that, but oddly enough they existed pretty early in Rejuvenation and will help you cheese Rifts. My problem was that I had made mine forget Endeavor and I was stuck in a place without Move Reminder so I lost my usual cheesing method. That in turn made me look for a solution with what I had in hand (Ribombees, Garbodor, chesto berry seller etc.)
