I don't have a ton of ideas for Type interactions for Cosmic Type to be honest, and yes that does weaken the case for it overall. I've given it a good think tho.
Defensively
>cosmic should definitely be weak to psychic, and not very effective against psychic. aside from this being a very nice buff, it goes with the general idea of psychic/telekinetic/alien beings generally being dominant in sci-fi settings. they can manipulate the fabric of shit (which is bad for the cosmic type, because it IS the fabric of shit)
>I like the idea of cosmic being weak to grass a lot. it feels more right the more I think if it. it would also be an excellent buff, but moreover it's just about cosmic creatures not being native to this ecosystem. they are aliens, they have no natural defense mechanisms for the kind of life we have on Earth. I know that if other planets in the galaxy have life on them, then they surely must have some form of xenoplants yes.....but grass type just feels like it specifically represents the unique kind of life here on earth. grass type represents mother nature itself. OUR particular brand of earth life is something an alien has never encountered before, and thus they are in new hostile territory and wouldn't be able to handle if it our brand of mother nature started attacking them.
>cosmic should resist fire and ice, because the vacuum of space is airless and already extremely cold. an extreme temperature change isn't going to phase a cosmic being.
>dark should resist cosmic. yeah whatever it's "evil type" but it also clearly represents a kind of pitch blackness. not shadows. I mean deep black, like the void......like space. cosmic types might manipulate the stellar voids of outer space, but that's not really going to phase a dark type. the dark type is already intimately familiar with its own inner void, the darkness within.
Other Types Cosmic should definitely 100% interact with, but I'm just not entirely sure how: Bug, Water, Normal Dragon.
