Anyway, didn't the Pope at the time give Pokemon the thumbs up? There was so much controversy I think he just locked himself in his room and went on a week-long Pokemon binge. I can imagine him sitting around with his Pope-hat on backwards, trading Pokemon cards with his Bishops. The Pope ended up saying that he found nothing Satanic in Pokemon and felt the game and show exemplified the importance of friendship and trust.
