Imagine the Pokemon Anime following its contemporaries and using the game's MC or an Anime original character for each Gen and then having said character show up at some point in future series ala JOJO style. That's some shit i would 100% watch. Sadly it is already too late for that so they might as well keep Ash forever.

I'm not the only one who thinks that the last 2 Gens of player characters look boring as fuck. Seems like an even bigger attempt to make them bland for self insertion and customization.
