Alola is a much tougher run but other than terrible nuzlocke types like Grass, Rock and Bug, you can try a mono run of almost every single type there cause of how much pokémons are available, specially USUM. I would recommend starting with Water however, you get a lot of great water mons in gen7 and, other than totem lurantis, vikavolt/togedemaru and Kukui Decidueye if you play SM, you dont have a lot of tough matchups for water types.
