>>51517348XY's trainers really surprised me, it's baffling how the Gym Leaders have piss easy teams (Valerie's lead LITERALLY only has shit like Bite which makes it super easy to set up with any mon that resists, Korrina literally cannot hit a Ghost-type unless she uses her Machoke with Rock Tomb, etc) but then there's shit like a random trainer with a Kadabra at the point where your strongest pokemon is probably your just-barely evolved starter, Battle Girl Hedvig with a ridiculous Bulldoze Throh and a Hawlucha, but those all pale in comparison to the Victory Road trainers.
The Victory Road trainers come with hand-picked moves like an Ice & Thunder Fang Steelix, a Night Slash/Ice Punch Weavile, a Kangaskhan with Outrage/Crunch/Shadow Claw, a Machamp with Earthquake/Poison Jab/Stone Edge/Cross Chop, a Medicham with all the Elemental Punches + Zen Headbutt, a Heracross with CLOSE COMBAT/Megahorn/Stone Edge/Earthquake, a motherfucking double battle with a Gallade and Medicham with screens and random coverage moves like Leaf Blade and Night Slash, and so much more.
It's really hard to believe this is the same game where the 8th gym leader doesn't even use Pokemon with 4 moves.
