I loved the RoboPon Series when it was around.
Mostly because the second one realized the game premise was silly and it went with it. You get to time travel, meet magical creatures, talk to dogs, and stop several evil people from taking over cities or dicking things up.
And what I loved was this was just a means to an end and not at all part of your characters motivation. You simply just wanted "To Be The Very Best" robopon champion and happened to save the world doing so.
I hated that none of my friends even heard of this game when I was growing up.
