>>40431489It was good, but in hindsight gen 7 should have debuted on the Swtich. They could have easily made Z in 2017 to give the 3DS a proper send-off with a complete region, and spent the extra time polishing the new art style as they made the jump from handheld to console. Going from the chibi overworld in Kalos to Alola was such a huge shift compared to Alola to Galar, which just feels like the same thing in HD. The gameplay itself wouldn't need any major changes, just the engine and interface to make it single screen friendly and making the cutscenes/tutorials skipable. No one would be asking for open world at that point or bitching about non-random encounters. Dexit wouldn't be a thing - even though those games didn't have the national dex you could still play with any pokemon which is the real reason everyone sperged out. The reviews would have been 10/10 everywhere. Then release LGPE afterward to cash in on the GO craze without sacrificing your first Switch game on a cheap dumbed down remake.
