I really don't have to read your entire list of strawmen to know that it terminates with
>Why do people dislike Sword and ShieldAnd the answer is, "Because the National Dex was cut."
I'm sure someone will likely go.
>No fuck that, I don't care that they cut Pokemon, we had too many anyway/too many of them were shit. What I disliked/the real reason SwSh sucks is blah blah blah blah blah blah, blah blah, blah blah blah. Blah blah. Blah. But the answer is really that the National Dex was cut. That is why people dislike Sword and Shield, whether they recognize it or not. This issue is so fundamentally against what Pokemon is and was that no other quality of Sword and Shield however positive will ever be able to compensate for it. Pokemon were unavailable in Pokemon games in the past, but at the very least they were still in the game. And even the most elusive of them were usually accessible through official means however stringent and trying those means might have been. With Sword and Shield, there were Pokemon that were just straight up missing. You couldn't get them. This issue stands out more than any other because the philosophy behind this decision is at the root of all of the other shortcomings and failings of Sword and Shield.
Go ahead and bring up Stantler or something. OP asked a question and I answered it and you know that I'm right.
