Man, I hope OP did a good job making a hypothetical Pokemon 2, but looking at those designs again on TCRF, I just have to say it: with some VERY few exceptions (like early Tangrowth and Lickilicky looking like more natural evolutions of Gen I Pokemon, and the Remoraid/Octillery line making more sense), the final design lineup is overall so much better. If it were up to me, the only thing I'd change would be to replace Gen I pre-evos with some of the better designs for all-new Pokemon, but babies just sell so I know keeping some of them was the best move marketing-wise. I'm more interested in what else this project has to offer though.
