>>37447433>>37447621Well, you did say you weren't drawing much, so I wouldn't expect to make like 2 drawings and bam! it's perfect. That old saying 'practice makes perfect' is right; if you just keep going and study the official art of the Pokemon and anatomy of people/animals (since most mons are based off real animals, knowing a bit about animal anatomy helps a lot), you should see some improvement over time. Using the reference for that kick is a good idea, keep doing that since it'll help with poses.
I think the kick being too stiff for you is partly due to your Tsareena's hips not being tilted. It ends up making the kicking leg point at an otherwise impossible (or super painful) angle. Maybe drawing the Tsareena as undetailed shapes might help? Getting screencaps of the Tsareena in the anime might help since it'll be in all sorts of poses (I hope; I haven't been watching the anime so I don't know how much screentime it gets) and angles that can show you what it looks like facing away or 'upskirt' angles so you can see how its legs connect to its body.
I'm
>>37434723 and I started with lines and simple shapes to start the pose, then made the darker lines that ended up being what I showed in that post. Pic related is what I started with, then refined it more with the other post. With layers it's easy to hide/erase, but you can do that on paper too if you make light lines or use a hard lead pencil. I think your second post has a hint of that so you got the idea I think, but I wanted to mention it anyway just in case.
