You wouldn't be having this discussion if people paid attention to game and anime credits instead of autistically trying to fit everything in a "timeline". Game Freak and overall Nintendo isn't the kind of company that limits their staff to stick to a lore from a previous writer to not cut their freedom, the ORAS staff was people new and being trained to make future Pokemon games and they were allowed to do whatever the fuck they wanted, the Let's Go! staff is likely composed by all those new employees Game Freak hired inthose 2016/2017 ads looking for people with experience in 3D games and they are likely being allowed to do whatever they want too. As long as they stick to the manual or product approval and style it's ok.
You people seem to think game developers are machines or something that always take in consideration these extreme particularities of fans who write lore and analysis do.
