>Fixed 99% of the countless glitches and bugs>added 100 new mons>added a real time clock>added varying encounter tables that change with the time of day, more closely simulating a believable ecosystem>added timed daily or even weekly events (like the big catching contest, lapras, Mt moon square etc etc) to go along with the RTC>started giving trainers names, clearly put a lot more effort in giving each trainer a unique team that fits them rather than fitting a basic consistent pattern like gen 1>Made it possible for some trainers to give you their phone numbers where they'll call to chat or rematch you with updated teams>added a (real time) radio system with multiple channels that feed back into the timed events thing, having channels for various purposes, with their actually being a radio tower you can visit, with it actually serving a purpose in the story as well later on>Added breeding, while also tying it into completing the pokedex with baby mons, and also allowing you to get otherwise unlearnable moves on most pokemon through breeding>Added berries/apricorns which give you a constant supply of helpful effects like healing status/letting you make unique types of pokeballs respectively>took massive strides forward with the map design, areas are actually dense with hidden secrets with tons of optional areas you can come back to laterand all that, while still being playable on THE SAME FUCKING WEAK ASS HARDWARE.
