Good deltas were the ones that took a part of the Pokemon, or took it's concept, and flipped it into something unique and interesting.
Stuff like Delta Pikachu, Delta Roserade, Delta Vespiquen and Delta Camerupt are all pretty good. They look at the Pokemon and change something integral to it's design and concept, and creatively changed it or expanded upon it.
But then shit like Delta Charizard, Delta Blastoise, Delta Dragonite and Delta Shiftry just took the Pokemon, made it another type and gave it design aspects of that type, really boring and really imaginative
