Unfortunate NuZoomers like YawnFag grew up in high school during X and Y, like many other poorly timed birthed kids, so they got the short end of the stick. And this is purely a taste thing because the same NuZoomers who joined the Mario fandom growing up with NSMB games then went back and played the other games like SMB 1-3 and World, and agreed those games are superior. Poke NuZoomers refuse to develop their tastes because their bias is tied to a lot more other factors like the anime and merch releasing at that same time. So they think everything is a battleground where their childhood needs to be defended. We're not attacking your childhoods, we're just trying to show you the light. Chances are from your "cave" perspective even if you love the games from Gen 6-8 chances are they will eventually go down in quality through Gens 9-11 for your standards. We can still take the good few things from the nu-gens moving forward, but you have to admit that something needs to change, standards need to increase.
