To add to the thread, I usually talk out loud as if someone else is there, like I'm doing a Let's Play. I usually do that with most single player games I play, especially if it's replaying a game I know, and try to point out interesting trivia. I don't think I'd be able to because I mumble too much, but it's kind of relaxing to me.
