That is the theme, the first half of the team is based on the Lake/Forest, when I was a kid I've always thought that that specific lake was similar to the lake of rage, because of an old legend that says there is a marine dragon living at the bottom of the lake, thus I have put a Gyrados in the team.
The second half of the team is about that industrial zone I was talking about, however you still see a lot of rabbits and birds around, since the Nidoran line a poison type and based on a rabbit I thought it was fitting.
