>>50088179I have a couple but for the purpose of this thread, its my Shiny excadrill I caught back in Black 1, named it ShineDrill and it was the 2nd Shiny I had ever caught in the franchise (First was a green Machoke in R/S/E but unfortunately I lost that one along with the copy of Diamond that it was in when I was a kid)
What cemented its status as one of my most favorite Shinies was when I was battling my friends through Wireless connection on bus rides during High school. Every other day, Me and my pals would challenge eachother on our saves of X and Y (I transferred Shinedrill to X for the sake of keeping it with me) and for this particular battle, we had done a Single battle instead of Doubles. Now I had set up Shinedrill to use Swords Dance followed either by Drill Run and or Aerial Ace since his Highest Stat was ATK. My buddy, not knowing Excadrill was a ground/steel Type had stupidly let his Chesnaught stay in the battle and Seed Bomb Shinedrill 2 times in a row while I had set up Swords Dance twice for a Quad Boost. My next turn I had use Aerial Ace and I shit you not, due to either the game or perhaps the hardware of our DSs not being able to properly work as fast. it appeared that his Chesnaught's HP bar went from Full to just gone. Like, its Hp didnt even go move or anything, it just went black and that was it. Since that day, Shinedrill has become a Meme in our friend circle. Its what got me to become more proactive in Competitive Pokemon when I get the chance. Years later I transferred Shinedrill again over to my copy of Shield, fixed it stats and Nature to be more efficient in ranked battles. Got to level 10 in the Battle Tower with it and a Shiny Tyranitar I breeded. Then breeded it till I got its Son, Shinedrill MK 2, which is without a doubt one of my strongest pokemon in the game.
