Yes, Necrozma was easy if you brought cheese to the battle, but even needing to do that makes it harder than any other boss battle that we've had. In any other game, you could still get by with just mashing whatever your strongest move option was.
While I'm on that, Gen 7, while not hard, did present more interesting battle techniques than any previous gen due to their gimmicks and use of whoever was their helper pokemon. I hope they can incorporate that in future gym battles.
