getting through the arlen tournament arc, noticing some more instances of "pokemon exist because it's the ip". people don't really mention their team, and that grueling 8 hour training session with the weird girl no one mentions how tough that would've been on their pokemon. the rich woman that just forced me to fight calvin gave him a ton of money, which he wants to spend on "training items". It's just so generically you could apply it to anything, instead of naming something like tms or mints...something pokemon-related. it really stands out now
