Gen 6 cleared that up, but then I just kind of saw it as a cute Oddish counterpart. Then I used it in a SM nuzlocke and the nuzlocke effect happened when I made some great memories before losing it. I've never been able to look at Whimsicott and Cottonee the same way ever since.
