Theme here is someone you run in to, rival esq- helps you take down evil team because the need to be a "hero." Starts as the generic- young go getter who just preaches about love and justice and how they want to save people
As the story progresses this character starts to become wildly disenchanted with humanity after repeated interactions with the "bad team" treating pokemon and people poorly
Player witnesses them lashing out against people who are in an argument- damning humanity
At some point they try to catch lucario for their "hero" team, but since the pokemon can "read auras" it refuses to be caught by him. Decides the world needs to be saved- even if they don't want to be
Hears a legend of deoxys and jirachi- can't obtain jirachi for a wish to change the world, so finds deoxys to "model humanity after a better being so nobody hates anymore"- You show up to the final battle with the bad team, but the leader has been defeated and is on the precipice of being used to make a "human like deoxys" so you have to fight the rival one final time with this team
yadda yadda yadda post game you can find them trying to evaluate their lives to find out what "being a hero" means. (second team)
