The squadron that raided the gym actually had weapons. A fucking tank. Everything the Pokemon did was pointless beside Magnemite, who wasnt even needed since they easily could have just broke the door down.
And the dialogue in the Elite Four episode, the introductory scene, and the final scene with Blue/Green sitting in his throne with the look of bloodlust seared into his face.
It was all just what the fuck. Like some shitty Deviantart user trying to do their own spin on the source material.
