>>55930797I don't know if I agree. People will definitely start praising it once it gets old enough because thats just how fads work but I don't see general perceptions changing all that much. Gen 7 was always praised for its characters and gameplay but its main issue was always that, at its core, its more of a jrpg than a pokemon game. It is not the kind of game that can be mindlessly replayed or easily streamed so most pokemon fans don't care about it and I don't see that changing.
XY is a lot easier to nostalgiafag about since its main selling points are 3D graphics (the industry standard) and megas (the only cool gimmick). Not to mention Gen 6 was the last time the old anime was ever relevant.
