Alright you see these guys here? They're Psychic Type Pokemon, many of them have the power to become far more intelligent than some humans possibly ever can & more importantly have magical healing powers. I'd mess up regular folks days, by completely changing the structure of how Psychology and the Medical Field would work. Suddenly we've got working class Pokemon who are able to perform safe X-Rays or CAT Scans, Pokemon who have an encyclopedic knowledge of (Pick a Field of Hard/Soft Science here) and can help so many People and Pokemon just by focusing more on their healing and knowledge.
Good news, I imagine the world's going to have many new strides in medication, and psychology, and whatnot, but it would also cost many people their jobs. Though to be fair, I don't think the world will ever not have enough good scientific minds, no matter if its a Human or a Pokemon.
