>>55758484Yeah, people like to downplay the anime's importance since it fell of during [insert your least favorite series], but it was one of the main reasons why Pokemon went from a "reasonable success for a Nintendo backed third party studio" to "Pikachu is Japanese Mickey Mouse." There's a reason they let Shudo create a Pokemon on his own. It'd be unthinkable for Tomioka or Dai Sato to get that privilege. I'd imagine that even though the game side of the fanbase far outstrips the anime side, the anime side is still huge.
