We still didn't have a computer at home and all of my friends and classmates were in their ewww pokemon phase, which also meant that I couldn't stealth google it in our computer class without getting flak. So without much info I was pretty afraid that my little golden bro would change his color upon evolution and saved before every level up and at least once or twice smashed B like crazy.
